The Claxton Bank Names Val Holton New Claxton Market Leader
Leadership appointment reflects TCB’s continued investment in Claxton since 1941

CLAXTON, Ga. (May 21, 2025)—The Claxton Bank, a local community bank serving residents and businesses for over 80 years, announced today the promotion of Val Holton to Claxton market leader. A 30-year veteran of Georgia community banking and former chief financial officer, Holton will lead the bank’s headquarters and continue its long-standing tradition of service to the Claxton community.
Holton, a longtime Reidsville resident, is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and also completed studies at The University of Georgia Banking School and Southern Trust School. In her new role, she will oversee local operations and focus on further strengthening client relationships alongside Philip Williams, executive vice president and Georgia banking president, and Priscilla Morris, branch manager.
Collectively, the Claxton leadership team represents over 80 years of banking experience deeply rooted in the local community.
